These group classes are held in the SDCE Ramona Oaks Park Recreation Center Annex Trailer, 25386 Pappas Rd., Ramona, Ca 92065
YOGA 1/2 CLASSES: In these classes you will learn fundamental alignment techniques that will help you to develop a safe and effective yoga practice. Connect to your heart center, feel your breath, and begin to understand and heal your physical and mental self. Classes will explore twists, beginning backbends, forward bends, and beginning inversions. Modifications and adjustments are offered, making this class suitable for students of all levels. We will also explore our anatomy using Yoga Tune Up therapy balls.
POWER CLASSES: Wednesday morning class and Friday Evening class will be designated as a power/flow class. We will do some flowing sequences, and move into some intermediate/advanced poses. Come challenge yourself as you develop strength and stability in your body. Six months or more of practice is recommended. Please contact me if you have any questions! Bring a hand towel and water!
MOM & BABY YOGA: This fun yoga class is designed for moms and their babies to experience together. Practice yoga techniques that enhance post-natal recovery while bonding with your baby in a supportive community of new mothers. This class is best suited for mothers (6 weeks postpartum, 8 weeks after a caesarian birth) with babies age 0-12 months that are pre crawlers. Please bring baby a blanket and a favorite toy to class.
SENIOR CHAIR YOGA: This class is appropriate for seniors of all ages and abilities. All poses will be seated or standing with the assistance of the chair. Strengthen your body and mind while enjoying time with peers.
Please bring a yoga mat to practice on, if you have one. I have a few extra mats for students who need one to use during class. If you have yoga blocks and a strap you would like to use please also bring them, although I do also have a limited number of these for students to use. Adult classes are 60-75 minutes long.
I have some props available for purchase as follows:
6' straps for $7 each
Block and strap sets (2 blocks, 1 strap) for $12 each
Yoga Therapy Ball sets $20.
Please note that, in the tradition of yoga, class starts at the times listed above. Please try to be a few minutes early to set up your mat and acclimate. If it is your first class, please arrive 10 minutes early to fill out a Student Information Sheet.
If you are are late to a class, don't stress. Please just enter quietly and join the class as soon as possible. =)
